This is where you will
find the daily examinations that are being done by Amerty Equine. It will be different than the normal reports that players
will get. The H!L Olympic Games Committee has required that each and every horse competing in the Games competition next week
be examined daily to ensure they are healthy enough to show in such a demanding event. Being the head of the Olympic Games
Committee, I was also elected to be the vet in charge of these exams! So for the next 7 days or so, I will be doing vet checks
on each and every horse. They are going to be short and to the point. There will be no CRI given or thorough farrier exam
given. And the horses that were scheduled to have their teeth filed on 7/13/11 will actually have that done.
So you can come back
to the Amerty Equine Site and this page to view the entire listing of each and every horse that’s scheduled to show
in the 2011 HL Olympic Games!
Starting with the vet checks on7/17/11 we will begin monitoring the horses
Water Consumption Level to tell us how much the horse actually drank while in the stall during the stall rest period. DEq
has the automatic watering system and each stall is equipped with a monitor. The Water consumption level will indicate if
the horses are having problems adjusting to the high Colorado altitude or not. 8-10 gallons is normal consumption. Very low
(4 or less) or very high (12 or more) is definite cause for concern. If there are causes for owners to be concerned, they
will be notified immediately!
