PHOTOMONTAGE - She has a slight cold; Her eyes were runny and she appeared to have a temperature. A few days rest and she’ll
be able to resume normal activities. There was NO CRI done for her as she was JUST not feeling well.
DARKWYND- She has a cold; She was not a happy camper during our exam. So rather than put her thru the entire exam, so we
did vitals, and shots and didn’t attempt the CRI. I did have my assistant, Mitchell, look at her legs and she looks
good. We’ll observe her for a while and be back in touch with you in a few weeks to see how she is doing.
MACHIAVELLIAN- Her heart rate was quite elevated when we began her exam. Mitchell was able to take her off by herself.
There was quite the commotion going on down at the other end of the barn. Anyway, once he got her calmed down (he gave her
one of our famous horsy treats) and happy they came back to where I was doing the exam. She really is a sweet girl. I think
it was just because she hadn’t met me before and didn’t know what I was going to be doing. She is fine; there
are no problems and the CRI was normal.
CONSULTANT - Teeth were filed today; No problems noted. I did NOT do a CRI on him today. He has some mild heat in his left
front leg. I don’t know what is causing it. If you’d like for me to do the extensive lameness exam, I’d
be happy to do it. I don’t think its cause for severe concern. It’s very possible he just hit his leg in the field
or his stall.
Broadway- What a sweety. She has a mild heel crack on the left rear hoof. We put some sealant on it and didn’t do
the CRI because of this. She was a real trooper while we were working on her foot. She even liked the peppermint cookie she
found in my pocket!! J
All of the rest of the horses were fine. There were NO other problems. If you’d like us to further investigate these
horses that were listed, just let us know.
